Toronto Supershow 2008
The North American International Supershow was
held once again this year on January 4, 5 and 6 at the
Toronto International Center. This is the largest show
encompassing over 425,000 square feet of floor space
with over 500 exhibitors in 7 halls that are there to
exhibit a multitude of equipment, parts, accessories
and recreational vehicles of all types.
I will be writing more specifically about hall number 5
where we could find various participants and bike shops
within the “Custom” and “Choppers” fields. Builders
from all over North America proudly exhibited their
latest creations. Thousands of visitors pass through
during the weekend to take in the beauty of these
custom designs which are among the best and most
beautiful in Canada.
Cincinnati V-Twin Expo
The beginning of February is probably
the most exciting time of the year for
most custom American v-twin shops due
to the highly anticipated V-Twin Dealer
Expo held in Cincinnati Ohio. The V-Twin
Expo gives aftermarket vendors from all
over the world the opportunity to display
their latest products, not to the general
public but to dealers only.
Being a vendor myself, this has got to be
the most exciting show of the year for me
because every R&D project that we’ve
been working on during the year gets to
be displayed. This also gives us the
opportunity to listen to what people
like, dislike or would change about the
products. Feedback has got to be one
of the most important aspects of showing
merchandise for the first time and,
like us, many other vendors are displaying
ideas they think are awesome, but that the
general public might have a different view
on. This gives the vendor time to analyze
the components and incorporate the
changes that will make it more appealing
to the public.
